Types of agricultural framing

TYPES OF AGRICULTURAL FRAMING

  1. Subsistence framing
  2. Commercial framing
  3. Dry land framing
  4. Mixed framing
  5. Organic framing and etc.,

Subsistence framing:-

Subsistence farming relates to agricultural activity to produce food which is predominantly consumed by the farming household. The food produced is the main or a significant source of food for the farming household and little or none of the production is surplus and available for sale or trade.

Commercial framing:-

Commercial framing is defined as framing that focuses on products for sale in the market rather than solely for subsistence purposes.

Dry land farming:-

Dryland farming and dry farming encompass specific agricultural techniques for the non-irrigated cultivation of crops. Dryland farming is associated with drylands, areas characterized by a cool wet season (which charges the soil with virtually all the moisture that the crops will receive prior to harvest) followed by a warm dry season. They are also associated with arid conditions, areas prone to drought and those having scarce water resources.

Mixed framing:-

Growing two or more crops simultaneously on the same piece of land is known as mixed cropping. This lowers the risk and provides some protection if one of the crops fails.

Organic framing:-

Organic farming is a method of agricultural production that excludes the use of synthetic substances, such as pesticides, synthetic medicines or fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms.
