The process of producing agricultural products:-

The 7 steps involved in agricultural practices are mentioned below:
  • Ploughing.
  • Sowing.
  • Adding nutrients.
  • Irrigation.
  • Protecting plants.
  • Harvesting.
  • Storage.

Ploughing:-

A plough is one of the agricultural tools used for the initial soil cultivation in preparation for seed sowing or planting to loosen or turn the soil. It is usually made of wood and is drawn by two bulls. It has been used since ancient times for tiling, turning the soil and adding fertilizers.

sowing:-

Sowing is the process of planting seeds. An area or object that has had seeds planted in it will be described as a sowed or sown area.
Adding nutrients:-
Rather than focusing on restrictive measures or eliminating certain foods, nutrition by addition means enhancing meals by incorporating nutrient-dense options. Instead of fixating on what to eliminate, this approach encourages adding wholesome options to enhance the overall nutritional value of the diet.

Irrigation:-

Irrigation is the process of supplying water to fields through man-made sources like wells, under-ground water, small and big dams etc.

Protecting plants:-

protecting plants or plant products by destroying, repelling or limiting the growth of pests • destroying or limiting the growth of weeds or undesired plants • controlling or modifying the growth of plants (other than as nutrients).

Harvesting:-

Cutting and gathering of ripened crops is called harvesting.

Storage:-

"Storage" means the phase of the post-harvest system during which the products are kept in such a way as to guarantee food security other than during periods of agricultural production.
